Our next destination is Langwies in the Schanfigg valley in the Grisons, in the Plessur Alps, a neighboring municipality of the well-known tourist resort of Arosa. Schanfigg was settled in the 13th century by the Walser people from Davos. They shaped the culture, architecture, and language of Schanfigg.

The Strela House is a spacious group accommodation with 69 beds in 20 rooms. We will be staying there with around 40 people. As well as the professionally equipped kitchen, there is a large dining room, four common rooms and a large lawn behind the house.

Hikes to the Walser settlements can be started right from the house. More challenging hikes lead into the Davos mountains and the high-alpine terrain of Arosa. Various starting points can be reached via the Rhaetian Railway and the mountain railways in Arosa. With the Arosa Card, we have free access to trains, buses and mountain railways in the region.
